Mrs. Louise Powell, age 90 of Hope, passed away, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in a local hospital. Louise was born in Fulton, Arkansas on August 5, 1925 to P.B. and Corrie Vann Faris. She was a retired grocery sales clerk, and of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garner Powell, her son; Dennis Powell, two brothers; Emmet Faris and Delma Ray Faris, two sisters; Virginia Quillin and Bernice Powell and grandson; Dennis Powell, Jr.

Survivors include, daughter; Benita York, husband, Larry of Spring Hill, sister; June Newton of Hope, three grandchildren: Quincee York, Leon Griffith, wife, Jamie and Chris Powell, one great-grandson; Tripp Griffith and a special great-nephew, Justin Newton.

There will be no formal visitation.
