Obituary

Mrs. Louise Sinclair, age 99 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, August 27 at her home. She was born on January 6, 1914 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to Martin and Fannie Wake Ross. Mrs. Sinclair was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, of 48 years, Jesse James Sinclair, her brother; George Zeke Ross and her sister; Nellie Cooper. Mrs. Sinclair was a devoted and faithful member of Unity Baptist Church for a number of years. She loved to do gardening work, to cook and to crochet. She was truly a master of home making. Survivors include; her two daughters; Wanda McCorkle, husband Charles and Shirley Thornton, husband Charles all of Hope, five grandchildren: Lynn Thornton Smith, Rodney Thornton, Randon McCorkle, Gary Don McCorkle and Mark McCorkle, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and two very special nieces; Marion Helen Nelson of Prescott and Bertha Faye Hamilton of Buckner, and host of other family members and friends. Visitation to be Wednesday, August 28 from 6:00 to 8:00pm, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 29, at 10:00am in the chapel of Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Bro. Charles Thornton to officiate the service.
