Mr. Loyce D. May, 81 of Hope, passed away this morning, March 25 at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. May was born February 18, 1929, in Cale, Arkansas to Elijah Newton and Obera Hicks May. He was a pipe fitter, member of the United Association of Plumbers Union Local # 1; retired from Meyers Bakery with over 20 years of service and an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Circle J Cowboy Church, Texarkana, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Pauline, Paula May and by six brothers; Nolan, Quay, Bobby, Paul Lynn, Hulan, and James May. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: TWO SONS: John A. May and Paula, Hope, Ark. Mike M. May and Cathy, Bradley, Ark. ONE DAUGHTER: Lois P. Eckert and Scott, Hope, Ark. TWO SISTERS: Mary Loe, Camden, Ark., Bradice Wicker, Prescott, Ark. And Eight Grandchildren, Four Great-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas.
