Mrs. Lula Willa Sparks, 84 of Hope passed away, Monday, April 16, 2012 in Hope. She was born September 13, 1927 in McCaskill, Arkansas to Roy and Callie Kidd Cooley. She is a homemaker and a Baptist. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Denvil Sparks, her brothers; Mark and Earl Cooley, her sisters; Ethel Cooley, Hazel Holt and Dorothy Lewis. Mrs. Sparks began working at the Hope Basket Factory. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid word search puzzle player and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Laurel Place. Her survivors include; son, Mark Sparks and Vickie of Dayton, Texas, her sister; Mrs. Georgia Bohall of Spring Hill, Arkansas, five grandchildren; Jason Sparks, Jenifer McDaniels, James Humbird, Chris Humbird and Crystal Key, 6 great-grandchildren Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, April 19 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service for Mrs. Sparks will be 2:00pm, Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Shover Springs. Rev. Revel Kidd and Rev. Mike Hill will officiate the service.
