Margaret Rose Hamilton, 78 of Emmet, passed away, Friday, August 3, 2018, at her home following a long fight with an autoimmune disease. A lover of music, Mrs. Hamilton was surrounded by loved friends and family who sang, played guitars, piano and even a ukulele in impromptu gatherings around her while in home hospice. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Hope, where she sang in the choir and worked with youth.
Mrs. Hamilton was born September 5, 1939 in Bartlesville, OK to Clarence Beryl and Eunice Mannahan Savage.
She is pre-deceased by her parents; brother, C. B. Savage; son, Erik Leeson Ponder; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Reck Ponder
Survivors include: her husband of 38 years William "Bill" Hamilton of Emmet; her sons Stephen T Ponder of Springdale, AR; Anthony A Ponder and Kristi of Kingsport, TN; David P Hamilton and Becky of Searcy, AR; and Jason W Hamilton and Linda of Emmet, AR; A sister Sarah Jean Rhodes and Richard of Fort Smith AR; her nine adored grandchildren: Bradley, Amie, Sara, Aiden, Sarah, Danielle, Marie, Paul and Andrew; and a host of nieces, nephews and dearly loved family whether related or not.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00pm on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1301 W Avenue B St, Hope, Arkansas 71801, with service at 2:00pm with Rev. Gary Johnson to officiate.
