Mrs. Margaret Jean Couch McMahen, 85, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home. Mrs. McMahen was born August 16, 1925 in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle McMahen in 1998, her parents Harry B. and Nelle M. Couch, one sister Elizabeth Franks and grandson, Blake McMahen. Mrs. McMahen was a retired school secretary with 30+ years of service in the Hope School District. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church and the Fidealis Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. MawMaw adored spending time with her family and friends. Jiggs, as she was also known, enjoyed playing cards every Saturday with her many friends. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Three Sons: Harry Ray and Brenda McMahen, Mena. Ken and Kay McMahen, Hope. Gene and Cyndie McMahen, Hope. Five Grandchildren: Lee Ann McMahen, Mt. Ida. Michael McMahen, Ft. Smith. Megan McMahen, DeQueen. Clayton and Jamie McMahen, Mena. Kahla McMahen, Hope. One Great-Grandchild: Maeli McMahen, Ft. Smith.
