Mrs. Margaret L. Powell, age 72 of Patmos, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Powell was born October 21, 1944 in Denham, England, United Kingdom to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Leigh.  She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Hope, a home maker and a self-employed poultry farmer. Mrs. Powell was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed working with flowers and painting as her hobbies. Mrs. Powell is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, of 50 years, James Powell of Patmos, a son; Mark Powell, and his wife, Christy of Patmos, a daughter; Karen Powell of Hope, four grandchildren: Andy Powell and Abby Wren, Whit Powell, wife, Summer, Dylan Powell all of Patmos and Rodrea Jones and numerous relatives and friends.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to: St. Mark's Episcopal Church 3rd and Elm Street Hope, AR 71801.

No formal visitation time is scheduled.

Funeral service for Mrs. Powell is 2:00pm, Friday, June 2, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main Hope, AR. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery in Hope. Bro.
