MRS. MARGIE J. REED, 85, of Caney Community, Prescott, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, February 9,2008, at her home. She was born on August 28, 1922, in Reader, AR. to O.T. and Rosa Goodlet Johnson. She was homemaker and former employee of Gulf Oil Co. She was a member of Morris Baptist Church; former member of Nevada County Fair Board; member of Double C Home Extension Club; and for years she served orange juice to Hillcrest residents. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.T. Wood, and by her second husband, John Reed. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: TWO DAUGHTERS: Carolyn Hicks, Caney, Ark. Celia Karmel and Kenneth, Caney, Ark. THREE STEP-CHILDREN: Clark Reed, El Dorado, Ark. Nancy Outlaw, El Dorado, Ark. Connie Clark, Phoenix, Arizona. ONE SISTER: Charlotte Brusen, Cut Off, LA. FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Dennis Hicks and Chris Hicks, Caney, Ark. Keith Karmel, Bella Vista, Ark. Kevin Karmel, Dallas, Texas. FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Caney Hicks, Caney, Ark. John Tyler Karmel and Zack Karmel, both of Corinth, Texas. Lauren Davis, Indianapolis, Indiana. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2008, at Morris Baptist Church, Caney Community, Caney, Ark., with Rev. Sam Tamburo and Rev. Jim Cross officiating.
