Obituary

Mrs. Alta Marie Townsend Edington, age 78, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at her home. She was born in Blevins, Arkansas, on March 14, 1932, to Charlie Levi and Alta Estell Mouser Garner. She was a Ward Clerk at Hempstead County Memorial Hospital, a past employee of Champion Parts, Owner Operator of Melon Country Crafts and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Edington and one grandson Larry Gene Brown, Jr. Her Survivors Include: Three Sons: Ken Townsend and Gean, Hope, Arkansas; Kevin Townsend and Glynda, Hope, Arkansas; Jimmy Edington and Hiroko, Oceanside, California. Two Daughters: Charlotte Bobo, Hope, Arkansas; Sherry Brown and Larry, Hope, Arkansas. Three Brothers: Charles Garner and Edith, Camden, Arkansas; Robert Garner and Eva, Houston, Texas; Glendon Garner and Lanetta, Texarkana, Arkansas. One Sister: Sylvia Fowler, Magnolia, Arkansas. Twelve Grandchildren, Twenty Great-Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Kenneth Bobo and Rev. Lane Garner officiating. Burial to follow in Mouser Cemetery. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Arkansas. Family Will Receive Friends on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Arkansas.
