Marie A. Gagnon 75, of Hope, AR, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4th. She was born on November 17, 1938 in Lowell, Massachusetts. She attended and graduated from Lowell High School. She lived in various states including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, California, Texas, and most recently Arkansas. Marie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hope, AR. On December 4, 1958 she married her husband, Gerard J. Gagnon Sr., and together they celebrated 52 years of marriage. She dearly loved animals of which she had many over the years as well as participated in horse shows and county fairs. Marie encouraged her children's musical talent. She enjoyed singing with her children in the family band that she created with her husband. Marie stayed active in her town, community, and most recently was an active advocate of CASA where she helped numerous children. She is preceded in life by her husband Gerard J. Gagnon Sr., daughter Dawn Marie Gagnon, stepson John Gagnon. Those left to celebrate her life are : Children: Hal Gagnon and wife Betty , Florida, Rosemarie Gagnon, Arkansas, Audrey Watkins, Texas, Gerard J. Gagnon Jr., Texas, Michele Zangari and husband Ron, New Hampshire, Stepchildren: Ron Gagnon and wife Claire, Connecticut, Patty Elvis and husband Wayne, North Carolina, Kathy Edwards and husband Dale, North Carolina, An abundance of beloved Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Sister - Patricia Regan , Massachusetts. A Memorial Service will be 11:00am, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Hope, with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.
