Marlina Sue Lippard Capps passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Hope, Arkansas. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 3,1956 to Weldon and Jo Dean Jaggers Lippard. She was married to Roy Capps for 44 years and lived in Rosston, Arkansas. Marlina enjoyed working with the handicap community during her tenure with TCMHR. She later drove a big rig along side her husband Roy of 30 years, as well as her two beloved Bassett hounds who would ride along with them, traveling through 48 states. She never had a speeding ticket or accident during her time on the road, which was a great feat. Marlina loved her family and spending time with them, she was Roy's golfing buddy who as Roy put it; playing "at golf" with many laughs doing it.
Marlina is preceded in death by her father, one daughter Michelle Capps, and one sister Cindy Lippard.
Survivors include one son, Jeffery Hill, daughters: Melissa Simmons, Brenda (Gary) McAteer, and Glenda (Doug) Hebert, her mother Jo Dean Lippard, and seven grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday January 23, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Brazzel Chapel in Hope.
Funeral services will be held at Bluff Springs Baptist Church on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm
Burial to follow at a later date.
