Mrs. Martha Jane White, 88 of Texarkana, Arkansas, formerly a long time resident of Hope, Arkansas died Thursday, October 20, 2011. Mrs. White was born, June 1, 1923 in Saratoga, Arkansas to Gilbert and Jettie Jewell Cannon Harwell. She was a home maker and a member of the Church of Christ in Hope. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob White and brother, Cecil Harwell. Survivors include one daughter and son -in-law, Susan White Daniel and Danny of Texarkana, Arkansas, son and daughter-in-law, Billy Bob White and Sandra of Bentonville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Chad and Taylor White of Ft. Smith, Jillian and Dennis Birge of Bentonville and Todd White of Ft. Smith and seven great-granddaughters. The family will receive friends, 6:00 to 7:30pm, Friday, October 21, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Graveside service for Mrs. Martha J. White, 88 of Texarkana, formerly of Hope, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, Arkansas. Mr. John Cannon will officiate the service. Burial to follow.
