Mrs. Mary Dell Cox Tippitt, age 87 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Hope. She was born January 15, 1928 in Hope, Arkansas to Walter and Mattie Mae Gill Tomlin. She was a home maker, who was devoted to the needs of her family, she loved her Lord and Savior and was a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas "Woody" Cox, second husband, H.H. "Pete" Tippit, her brothers; Roy, Walter, Woodrow and Billy Joe Tomlin, her sisters; Beulah Easterling and Louise Moore and a step-daughter; Sharon White. Survivors include; son; Thomas Woodard Cox, Jr. of Eldorado, step-son; Howard Tippitt, wife, Shelia of Hope, daughter; Cathy Howard, husband, Randy of Hope, step-daughters; Vicki Shegonne, Penny Griffis, husband, Glendon all of Hope, and Terri Miller, husband, David of South Carolina, a brother; Raymond Tomlin, wife, Frances of Arlington, TX, two grandchildren; Cody Howard of Hope and Traci Owens, husband, Richard of El Dorado, three great-grandchildren; Taylor, Hayden and Kade Owens all of El Dorado.
