Mrs. Mary D. Ward, 81, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009, quietly at her home. She was born September 3, 1927, in Hope, Arkansas to Jewell and Linnie Burns May. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church, Hempstead County, Arkansas, Prescott, Ark. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; one brother, Jewell May, Jr., and a sister, Desiree May Hodges. Survived by: Her Husband: (of 61 years) Philip H. Ward, Prescott, Ark. One Son: Phil Ward and Berta, Little Rock, Ark. One Grandson: Steve Ward and Chelsea, Little Rock, Ark. One Brother: Cannon May and Joyce, Texarkana, Ark.
