Mrs. Mattie V. Green, 84, of Fulton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009, in Pike County, Arkansas. She was born in Fulton, Ark. on November 16, 1924 to George A. and Connie M. Jones Akin. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of a non-denominational Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James S. Penny Green, who died in Feb of 1982; by her daughter, Rita Galbreath, who died in Feb. of 2007; and by two brothers, James and Malcolm Akin; and two sisters Mrs. E.W. Grisham and Miss Martha Jo Akin. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Three Sons: James M. Mike Green and Donna, Fulton, Ark. George Dennis Green, Pocahontas, Ark. David Gordon Green and Ramona, Fulton, Ark. One Sister: Dorothy Schwander, Little Rock, Ark. And Ten Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Mr. Clinton Goff and Mr. Warren Taylor officiating.
