Michael "Mike" W. Marcum Sr.
A time of visitation will be held at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, AR,
on Friday February 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Michael "Mike" W. Marcum Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday, February 18, 2023, in the Chapel with Reverends John Nations and
Michael W. Marcum Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery ,
Hope AR.
Mike, 74, of Hope, Arkansas entered eternal rest on Wednesday February 15, 2023, at
Christus St. Michaels in Texarkana, TX surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church of Hope. He was a retired Agent
with Kansas City Southern Railroad for over 20 years. He enjoyed helping anyone with
their genealogy to locate their loved ones. His passion for horses and cattle was evident
through every aspect of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. James H. & Cordelia Marcum.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving, caring wife Linda June Wake Marcum of
56 years and children Angela 'Bunting (Greg) of Deville , La., Andrea Cobb (Jason) of
Woodworth, La., Rev. Michael W. Marcum Jr. (Catherine) of Glenmora, La.
Including 5 grand children, Cameron, Molly, Naomi, Laken & Macee.
11 great grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt, Wren, Stella, Sutton, Crue, Myles, Holden,
Hudsen, Harrisen & Heidi.
Honored to serve as pallbearers: Bobby Calhoun, Greg Bunting, Mo Aldecoa, Jason
Cobb, Jimmy Rowe, Willie Waller.
