Mr. Michael A. "Mike" Smith Sr., age 74, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Wadley Regional Medical Center at Hope. He was born on August 8, 1939, in Lake Village, Arkansas, to Jarrell William and Harriette Jane Walker Smith. Mr. Smith was retired as the former owner of Fleet Tire Service in Hope, and was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mike Smith, Jr. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Billie Hammond Smith, two sons, William "Bill" Smith and wife Cindy of Spring Hill, Arkansas, Mark D. Smith and wife Lynn of Hope, a daughter, Lee Michelle Hayden and husband Darrell of Little Rock, Arkansas, a brother, Doug Smith of McGhee, Arkansas, a sister, Libby Jacobi of Little Rock, nine grandchildren, numerous other family members and friends. Memorial service for Mr. Smith will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 30, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Rev. Revel Kidd officiating. Committal will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. An additional memorial service will be held by the Mark Smith Family at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, October 30, at Memory Gardens with Rev.
