Mrs. Mildred M. Henley Cornelius, 88 of Hope passed away, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at her home in Hope. She was born, Monday, January 29, 1923 in Reader, Arkansas to John A. and Alve Jo Guessner Henley. She is a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church in the Nubbin Hill Community of Prescott, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years, Sam Cornelius, Sr., seven brothers, one sister and one great grandson; J.T. Redfern. Survivors include; her three sons; Tommy Cornelius and wife, Lorna of Ashdown, Sammy Cornelius and wife, Margaret of Hope and Joe Cornelius and wife, Brenda of Brown Springs, two sisters; Willadene McCroskey of Greenville, Texas and Peggy Lehman of Mountain Home, Arkansas, 16 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews other family member and friends. She is also survived by her little dog, Samantha. The Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, September 30, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelius will be 10:00am, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home Chapel in Hope. Bro. Neil Ridling and Bro. Wayne Langston will officiate.
