Mrs. Mildred Lucille Lucy Cowan, 69 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2011 at her home in Hope. Lucy as she was called was born January 8, 1942 in Warren, Arkansas to William Glen and Edna Gaither Bissell. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, William Glen and Edna Gaither Bissell and her husband, Jim Cowan. She is survived by her children Danielle Culp and son-in-law, Tony of Nashville, AR, Grandchildren Devin and Matthew Culp, her siblings Lavern Bissell of Center Point, AR, Don Bissell of Center Point, Alma Sullivan of Hope and Glenda Evans of Bothel, Washington, many nieces & nephews, great and great-great nieces & nephews and many friends who loved her. Lucy resided with her sister Alma Sullivan and her husband, Glenn Sullivan in Hope. Lucy is loved by many and will be missed. Graveside service, 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Center Point Cemetery in Center Point, Arkansas. Mr. Tommy Mounts will officiate the service. Burial to follow.
