Monty Lynn May, age 46, of Hope, AR and Grantsburg, IL passed away on August 3, 2023 in Hampton, AR.

Monty was a member of the Spring Hill Christian Church. He was a construction worker for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, children, parents, friends, and family.

Monty is survived by his wife Nicole (Grantsburg, IL) of 12 years, parents Faye and David Stroud of Hope, AR, daughters Bailey Strickland (Mark) of Hampton, AR, Charlee Hill (Dillon) of Blevins, AR, son Memphis May of New Kent, Virginia, brothers Shannon May (Angie) of Hope, AR, Mike May of Ashdown, AR, nieces Ravyn Burns (Chase) of Gentry, AR, Presley Harris (Brian) of Prescott, AR, Haley Pack of Ashdown, AR, Mason May of Ashdown, AR, and three special friends Eddie Lee (Savannah) of Hot Springs, AR, Jason Helms (Staci) of Hope, AR, Chuck Racey (Becky). His biggest joy in this life was being "Pawpaw" to his two granddaughters Emmy Strickland and Dillainee Hill, also surrounded by a host of many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Larry May, stepfather Dub Bailey, and Cousin Norman Bobo.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 6, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home, 1001 South Main Hope, AR 71845.

Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
