Mrs. Murlene Jarvis Glass, age 86, of Springfield, Arkansas, formerly of Caney, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2013. She was born on August 10, 1927, in Rosston, Arkansas, to Wade and Patra Jarvis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Frank Unc Glass, four brothers, Johnny Lee Jarvis, Dale Jarvis, Lee Roy Jarvis, and Doyle David Jarvis, and two sisters, Velma Lowe and Opal Faye Jarvis. She was a homemaker, a proud mother and grandmother, who loved her children and grandchildren and portrayed a gentle spirit to all who knew her. She was a member of Morris Baptist Church in Caney. Survivors include her sons, James Doyle Glass and his wife Kathy of Springfield, Arkansas, and Gilbert Wayne Glass of Nashville, Arkansas, five grandchildren, Angie Boyd and husband Joey of Morrilton, Arkansas, Jim Glass and wife Jennifer of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Valerie Sims and husband Travis of Center Ridge, Arkansas, Wayne Millican of Cabot, Arkansas, and Monica Lin Schuster of Little Rock, Arkansas, seven great-grandchildren, Chis Pennebaker and wife Brittney, Kayla Kuettle, Parker, Weston and Riley Glass, and Will and Cordell Sims, two great-great-grandchildren, Caleigh Yarber Pennebaker and Colby Lee Kuettle, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 19, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in Prescott, Arkansas. Funeral service for Mrs. Glass will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 20, at the Morris Baptist Church in Caney, with Bro. Jim Crain and Bro. Jim Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Cemetery.
