Mrs. Nancy Marie Brown Burke, 56, of Washington, Ark., passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at her home. She was born on Sept.17, 1951 in Hope, Ark, to Vernice C. and Maxine Brockman Brown. She was a transcriptionist, employee of Dr. Michael Young and former Funeral Director for The Brazzel Funeral Homes of Hope and Prescott. She was a member of Boughton Baptist Church, Boughton, Ark. She was a pianist that played with her heart; former member of the Burke Quartet; former Nevada County Fair Parade Chairman; and has taught various youth choirs over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her son, Joey Burke. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HER HUSBAND: (of 38 years) Rev. Richard Joe Burke, Washington, Ark. ONE DAUGHTER: Christie Cuthbertson and Shawn, Queen Creek, Arizona. TWO BROTHERS: Bill Brown and Diane, Ashdown, Ark. Rev. Joe Brown and Betty, Bodcaw, Ark. ONE SISTER: Peggy Russell and Rev. Billy, Bodcaw, Ark. FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Brayden, Ashlie, Shelby and Bradley Cuthbertson. And Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Rev. John Nations and Rev. Jonathan Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Nubbin Hill Cemetery, Nubbing Hill Community, Prescott, Ark. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark.
