Mrs. Nell Potter McAvoy, age 93 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Hope Haven Retirement Home in Hope, Arkansas.  Mrs. McAvoy was born in Bluff Springs, Arkansas on June 9, 1924 to John Otto and Lela Dennis Baber.  She was a retired beautician, a retired LPN, she was a Methodist and a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. McAvoy enjoyed many things during her life, but her most enjoyable thing, was spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. McAvoy is preceded in death by her parents, J.O. and Lela Baber, her first husband, Walter Potter, passed in 1983, whom she married in 1945, her second husband, Mr. Francis C. McAvoy, her son Otto Potter, and her brother; John B. Barber.

Mrs. McAvoy is survived by three grandchildren.

There will be no family visitation at the funeral home.
