Mrs. Nelva N. Collins, age 90, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, at her home. She was born on December 7, 1923, in Milford, Texas, to John and Minnie Chipman Perryman. She was a retired nurse at the Hope Hospital and a member of Anderson Baptist Church in Spring Hill for over 70 years. She loved to read, sew, play cards, and take care of people, but most of all, she loved her family. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Claude Collins, a daughter Jane Bland, a grandson, Lance Collins, three brothers, Bill, Ellis and Ronnie Perryman, and a sister, Etheline Cato. Mrs. Collins is survived by two sons, Darrell Collins and wife Martha of Spring Hill, and Clay Collins and wife Liz of Hope, sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, January 6, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service for Mrs. Collins will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. Charles Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery in Spring Hill.
