Mrs. Nita Bramlett Kellam, 73 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Kellam was born, Tuesday, January 3, 1939 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Carl and Mable Riley Bramlett. She is preceded in death by her parents. Nita graduated from El Dorado High School in 1956. She attended Texas Womens University in Denton, Texas for two years and later attended the Texarkana branch of Texas A&M University. While raising a family, she taught preschool at the First Baptist Church in Hope and worked for the Arkansas Department of Human Services as a Case Manager from 1983 to 2000. Nita is a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Anna Manney Sunday School class. A devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Hope Junior Auxiliary and maintained her membership as a sustainer throughout her lifetime. She also, volunteered for the Womens Auxiliary Pink Ladies at Medical Park Hospital. Nita is survived by her husband of 54 years of marriage, Bob Kellam of Hope; her first daughter; Angela Dunaway and her daughter, Megan; her second daughter, Kristi Clark and her husband, Brian and their two children Kelsey and Sarah; her third daughter Diane Dabbs and her husband, Kevin and their daughter, Katie; her brother Carl Bramlett and his sons: Daniel and Joel; and brother: Dave Bramlett and his wife, Betsy and their children: Kristy Nell Beckham and Ryan Bramlett. Visitation for Nita will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, May 14, 2012 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Memorial service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Hope with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers the Kellam Family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O.Box 400, 2300 South Main St. Hope, AR 71801.
