Mrs. Odelle Collier, 94 of Hope passed away, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in a local hospital. Mrs. Collier was born December 5, 1917 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to J. B. and Mennie Ann Yarberry Carmen. She is a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope, a beautician and co-owner of Colliers Furniture and Appliances Store. Mrs. Collier is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold H. Bud Collier, two brothers, D.B. Carmen and Elgie Carman and her sister, Estelle Carman. Mrs. Collier is survived by three nieces; Bobbie Jones of Prescott, Ann of Virginia and Sharon Waddle of Hot Springs, three nephews; Larry Carman of Blevins, Bill Carman of Bluff City and James Thomas Carmen of North Little Rock and three sisters-in-laws, Pat Rhodes of Hope, Gladys Stone of College Station, TX and Lillie Mae Erwin of Searcy, Arkansas and a host of great nieces and nephews. The Collier Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial to be made to Unity Baptist Church Building Fund 402 South Hervey St. Hope, AR 71801 or to the donors choice. Funeral service for Mrs. Collier will be 2:00pm, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home. Bro. Glenn Tropp and Bro. Jay Pollan will officiate the service.
