Obituary

Mr. Oliver R. McKnight, age 87 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his home.  Mr. McKnight was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Richard and Jesse McKnight on November 10, 1929.  He was a retired mechanical engineer and a retired US Army Major serving in the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hope, where he enjoyed singing. He had a passion in life that was a hobby of cars. One of his most memorable highlights in life was meeting Marilyn Monroe, during a USO show in Korea. Mr. McKnight is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley Storey McKnight and a brother.

Survivors include; three daughters: Laura Pennington, husband, Bruce of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Linda McKnight of Houston, TX and Elberta McKnight of Atlanta, Georgia and one grandchild; Logan Pennington of Denver, CO other relative and friends.

Visitation, 2:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main Street Hope, AR.

Graveside service with full military honors will be, 11:00am, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery   601 Hwy. 80 East Haughton, Louisiana with Bro.
