MR. OVIDE VINCENT HONORE, 71, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at his home. He was born on June 19, 1936, in Alexandria, LA, to James Vincent and Ruby Teresa Rachel Honore. He was a diesel mechanic and owner/operator of the former Park Express Convenience Store; and former employee of Stephens Grocer Co. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Hope, Ark. He was a member of the Automobile Mechanics Union, Local 701 and Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Herman and Jerome Honore. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: ( of 51 years) Mary L. Metoyer Honore, Hope, Ark. ONE SON: Kerry Honore and Donna, Corpus Christi, TX. FIVE DAUGHTERS: Ruby Marie Brittian , Colorado Springs, Colorado. Carla Frances Honore, Fort Smith, Ark. Susan Elizabeth Honore, Hope, Ark. Sandra Ann Martin, Hope, Ark. Cynthia Ann Johnson and Eric, Hope, Ark. ONE BROTHER: Roman Honore and Annie Ruth, Southfield, Michigan. ONE SISTER: Margie Honore, Alexandria, LA. AND EIGHTEEN GRANDCHILDREN AND NINETEEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN ROSARY SERVICE will be 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Father Kevin Atunzu. FUNERAL MASS will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Natchez, LA, with Father Jacob Thomas. Burial to follow in St. John The Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Cloutierville, LA. Arrangements by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark. FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS: Sunday, April 6, 2008, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark.
