Mrs. Ozie Charles Jones, age 79 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. Mrs. Jones was born April 22, 1934 in Prescott, Arkansas to Chester and Cordia Muldrow Charles. She is a member of the Ward Chapel AME Church in Prescott and a retired high school teacher. Mrs. Jones served her country faithfully during the Korean War for two years as a communications specialist in the US Air Force. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Harold Charles. Those left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Jones; her daughter; Kimberly Moore of Arkadelphia, her brother; Vernon Charles of Rockford, Illinois and one grandchild Mara Dickerson of Arkadelphia, other family members and a host of friends. The Jones Family will receive friends at the Ward Chapel AME Church in Prescott from 10:00 to 11:00am, Saturday, April 5, 2014. Funeral service for Mrs. Jones will be 11:00am, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Ward Chapel AME Church in Prescott with Rev. Gregory Gwynn officiating the service.
