Patricia Ann Hawthorne, lovingly known as Granny Pat, was born on June 30, 1950, in Guernsey, Arkansas, to Dewey and Virginia Lively. She passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, surrounded by her family at Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Hope, Arkansas.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, her devoted husband of 42 years, Thomas Hawthorne, and her beloved son, Thomas Hawthorne Jr.
She is survived by two loving daughters: Jannie and Clifford Moten of McNab, Arkansas, and Ginnie and Ronnie Cloyd of Texarkana, Texas.
Granny Pat's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren: Destiny Oller, Josey Moten, Katie Cato, Marshall Cato, Rebecca Akin, Kristen Kaufman, Montana Dillon, and Daphne Simmons, along with 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous family, friends, and her beloved caregiver Guadalupe Wyatt.
"Granny Pat" will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her tenacious spirit, and by those who were ever blessed to share a meal from her kitchen.
Visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Columbus Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home.
