Pauline Jette Butler, 86, of Hope, Arkansas passed peacefully from this earth on Sunday, October 14th, surrounded by her family. She was born September 29, 1926, in DeAnn, Arkansas, to DM (Dock) and Eros Lloyd Samuel. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love for children extended beyond her own family. She was a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church, the Dorcas Sunday School Class, and Cora Mae WMA for over 30 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters; Opal Garland and Faye Bright, her husband, Gordon G. Butler and her special brother-in-law, Ivan Bright. Survivors include sons; Robert (Nelda) Butler of Whitesburg, Georgia, Larry (Becky) Butler and Dean Butler, both of Hope, daughters; Joan (Ed) Flagg and Judy Evans of Hope, and Sue (Lee) Nesom of Austin, Texas. Grandchildren surviving are Michael Butler, Morgan Butler, Meredith Chapuis, John Butler, Robert Mack McCormack, Cheryl Flagg, Joe Flagg, Michelle Jeffries, Jason Flagg, Dawn Butler, Dave Evans, Brenda Broussard, Allison Pogue, Sidney Wood, Sarah Stidham, and Brett Nesom. Great-grandchildren surviving are Gavin and Kennedy McCormack, Logan, Victoria, Hannah, and Sylvia Flagg, Chance Atkins, Faith, Tony, and Lindsey Jeffries, Mia and Laynie Broussard, Shelby and Baylee Pogue, Bella Wood, Donnie and Autumn Stidham, and Alex Nesom. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm., at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Special thanks to Laurel Place Nursing Center, Dr. Dale Goins, Dr. George Garrett, and Serenity Hospice.
