Mrs. Peggy Sue Bush Hampton, 77, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab, Prescott, Arkansas. She was born in Alton, Ark. on March 16, 1932 to Charles Holly and Ellen Tabitha Stanley Bush. She was a retired bank teller with First National Bank of Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Thomas Mutt Hampton; by four brothers, Jimmy, Lester, Eugene and Kenneth Bush; and three sisters, Louise Poole, Iris Porterfield and Katherine Nichols. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HER SON: Tommy Hampton and Mary, Hope, Ark. Two Step-Sons: Bobby Hampton and Sharon, Paris,Texas. Larry Wayne Hampton and Pat, Plano, Texas. Three Brothers: Jerry Bush, Hope, Ark. Roland Bush, Belton, Ark. Denton Bush, Jal, New Mexico One Sister: Betty Walden, Hope, Ark. One Granddaughter: Melissa Hicks, Texarkana, Ark. One Great-Granddaughter: Maddy Gathright, Texarkana, Ark. And Several Step Grandchildren, Step Great-Grandchildren and Step Great-Great-Grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
