Mrs. Margaret E ."Peggy" McGough, age 92 of Laneburg , Arkansas left her earthly home on September 17, 2016 . She was born April 7, 1924 in Washington , D.C. to John Lee Auguste, Sr. and Mabel Sophia Auguste. She was member of Prescott First United Methodist Church and First Baptist of Prescott.

Her transition in 1963 from Air Force life and traveling to life on the farm was quite a change. She adapted well and even loved and enjoyed farm chores. She and James became Arkansas turkey producers of the year in 1972. Her flowers and yard were special, she even made a home for stray cats and dogs that happened by. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, of 60 years, James B. McGough, a son; Robert James "Bobby" McGough, and a brother; Jack Auguste.

Survivors include a son; Richard Lee "Rick" McGough and wife, Debora of Laneburg, a daughter-in-law, Carolyn McGough of Prescott , four grandchildren: Melinda A. McGough Bingham, husband, Tim of Grapevine, TX, James Robert McGough of Laneburg, AR, Marcus James McGough, wife Kristi of Fulton, AR, and Angela McGough Poindexter, husband, David of Ball, Louisiana, six great-grandchildren: Alyssa, T.J., Shay, Will, Gray and Logan, other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be a 10:00am on Monday, September 19, 2016 with visitation one hour before the service, at BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Burial will be in Laneburg Cemetery , with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Bro.
