Obituary

Mr. Pierre Malardier, age 82 of Spring Hill, passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Stamps, Arkansas. Mr. Malardier was born on June 25, 1931 in Paris, France to Claude Rene` and Helen Chaine Malardier. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a heavy equipment operator, of the Catholic Faith and a retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Sandra Kay Ward Purtle, a grandson; Brent Malardier and a great-grandson; Tyler Woodson. Survivors include; his wife, of 57 years, Pearl Malardier of Spring Hill, his son; Paul Malardier, wife, Shawnda of Spring Hill, sister; Denise Hinton of Little Rock, six grandchildren: Brandon & Jennifer Malardier, Lesley & Brian Irons, Major Nathan Purtle & wife, Dawn, Hannah Henderson, Drew Henderson and Kyler Clardy, eight great-grandchildren; Addison Herron, Braiden & Jacob Malardier, Sarah Beth & Lauren Irons, Nicholas & Brittani Purtle and Samantha Purtle and one great-great-grandchild; Olivia Purtle and two special nieces; Martine Smith and Shirley Hinton. Visitation will be noon to 2:00pm, prior to the service on Monday. Funeral service, 2:00pm, Monday, May 12, 2014 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery with Bro. Jerry T. Crane and Mr. Harold Freeman officiating. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie Brazzel, Director.
