Mr. Pierre Malardier, age 82 of Spring Hill, passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Stamps, Arkansas. Mr. Malardier was born on June 25, 1931 in Paris, France to Claude Rene` and Helen Chaine Malardier. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a heavy equipment operator, of the Catholic Faith and a retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Sandra Kay Ward Purtle, a grandson; Brent Malardier and a great-grandson; Tyler Woodson. Survivors include; his wife, of 57 years, Pearl Malardier of Spring Hill, his son; Paul Malardier, wife, Shawnda of Spring Hill, sister; Denise Hinton of Little Rock, six grandchildren: Brandon & Jennifer Malardier, Lesley & Brian Irons, Major Nathan Purtle & wife, Dawn, Hannah Henderson, Drew Henderson and Kyler Clardy, eight great-grandchildren; Addison Herron, Braiden & Jacob Malardier, Sarah Beth & Lauren Irons, Nicholas & Brittani Purtle and Samantha Purtle and one great-great-grandchild; Olivia Purtle and two special nieces; Martine Smith and Shirley Hinton. Visitation will be noon to 2:00pm, prior to the service on Monday. Funeral service, 2:00pm, Monday, May 12, 2014 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel.
