Mr. Raymond Lee Simmons, 61, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Arkansas. He was born on December 29, 1948, in Hope, Arkansas to Christopher Columbus and Myrtis Faye Collums Simmons. He was a construction worker, heavy equipment operator and an active member of Guernsey Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Jerry Blackmon. His Survivors Include: His wife Dianne Harvin Simmons, Hope, Arkansas. Two Sons: Roger Simmons, Hope, Arkansas; Dinton Simmons, Hope, Arkansas. Two Daughters: Shannon Hawthorne and Roger, Hope, Arkansas; Ashley Wilson, Hope, Arkansas. One Brother: James Simmons, Hope, Arkansas. Two Sisters: Sandra Sundberg, Hominy, Oklahoma; Debbie Simmons, Hope, Arkansas. Four Grandsons: Colton Hawthorne; Preston Simmons; Christian Arnold; Caleb Arnold. Three Granddaughters: Kristan Hawthorne; Karlisa Simmons; Jaelin Simmons. And several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Clarence Clevenger and Rev. Gary Bolin officiating.
