Obituary

Mr. Richard Henry Lewis, age 67, of Fulton, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Wadley Regional Medical Center at Hope. He was born April 15, 1946, in Bonner Springs, Kansas to Jettie and Opal Mae Allen Lewis. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 35 years of service, and was currently employed at Wal-mart of Hope. Mr. Lewis was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Stephanie Starr and his Spiritual parent, Uncle Frank Lewis. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Valeria Biong Lewis of Fulton, his Spiritual parent, Aunt Corrine Lewis, two sons, George Biong Lewis and wife Melinda of Hope, and Rodney Allen Lewis and wife Vivian of Honolulu, Hawaii, daughter, Rowina Lynn Lewis of Sacramento, California, his four brothers, Leonard Lewis of San Diego, California, Freddie Lewis of Dallas, Texas, Melvin Lewis of Chicago, Illinois and Michael Lewis of Dallas, Texas, sister, Pat Stroud of Atlanta, Georgia, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Rosary for Mr. Lewis will be 5:00 to 6:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Brazzel/ Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral Mass will be 2:00pm, Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Hope with Father Alphonse Gollapalli officiating, burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope.
