Mr. Robert E. Brooks, age 59 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015. Mr. Brooks was born April 11, 1956 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to William Ernest and Vivian McClenahan Brooks. He received his doctorate degree in law and worked as a paralegal and a lawyer for Stayton Law Firm for 30 years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Prescott where he was an Awanis teacher and a member of the church choir. Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his father, William Brooks, and one sister, Carol de Aragon. Survivors include; his wife of 24 years, Joy Brooks of Prescott, Arkansas, two sons; Jordan and Jackson Brooks of Prescott, Arkansas, his mother, Vivian Brooks of Aurora, Colorado, two brothers; Bill Brooks and his wife, Bonnie, of Aurora, Colorado, George Brooks and his wife, Kerri, of Loveland, Kansas, one sister, Kathy Chamberland and her husband, Mike, of Sedan, Kansas, and a host of other family members and friends. No formal visitation will be held. Memorial service for Mr. Brooks will be 1:00pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Prescott with Bro. Perry Johnson officiating.
