Mr. Robert James Foster, age 89 of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Blevins, Arkansas, passed away, Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Arlington, Texas. Mr. Foster was born October 14, 1925 in Blevins, Arkansas to Roy and Mildred Brown Foster. He was in the United States Army Air Force for two years during World War II, participated in the European Theater during 1945 in France and Germany. Mr. Foster was also a Ball Turret Gunner on a B-24 with the 8th Air Force, 305th Bomb Group. He later became a math professor for the University of Texas at Arlington and Stephen F. Austin State University. He was also a high school math teacher for Scott, Arkansas and Mount Pleasant, Texas. He was a member of Old School Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Foster is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Lyle Foster. Survivors include: his wife of 69 years, Emma Lou Bond Foster, two sons; Robert Randall and his wife, Elizabeth Foster, of Ashland, Oregon, Roy Glenn and his wife, Alice Foster, of Houston, Texas, one daughter, Mary Linda Williams of Arlington, Texas, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. There will be no formal visitation. Graveside service will be 2:00pm, Thursday, June 4th, 2015, at Malbrook Cemetery in Blevins, Arkansas with Myron Ford officiating.
