Coach Ronald Jones, aged 86, of Maud, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Hospice of Texarkana. Born on August 26, 1938, to Hubert Jones and Francene Mohon, Ronald was a dedicated educator and coach, a loving father, and a cherished member of Moss Spring Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Nora Jones, his sister Gail  Bilbrey, and his son Jerry Jones.

Ronald is survived by his sons Kevin Clark Jones (Kimberly) of Redwater, Texas, and Ronald Earl Jones II (Heather) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as well as his daughter-in-law Mary Jones of Maud, Texas. He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Kailee Bentley (Blake), Kadin Jones, Colin Jones, Sloan Jones, Jacob Jones (Jessica), Joshua Jones (Breanna), Kristen Sciara (Josh), Joseph Jones, Jordan Acosta (Gabe). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Emma Jones, Ella Jones, Hadley Jones, Nolan Jones, Logan Jones, Judson Sciara, and Blair Bentley.

Visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10am-11am.

A funeral service for Coach Jones will follow at 11:00 am on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Brazzel/Oakcrest chapel in Hope, Arkansas, with burial to follow in Snell Cemetery, Emmet, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the care of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
