Mrs. Ruby L. Johnson, age 86 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at her home in Hope. Mrs. Johnson was born May 26, 1928 in Texarkana, Arkansas to William and Jennie Duice McLain. She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Linda Gail Johnson, brother; Russell McLain and three sisters; Willa Mae, Mary and Jo, and one grand-daughter; Heather Lavender Perkins. Mrs. Johnson was a retired nurse and a member of the Hope Church of Christ in Hope. She loved to care for her family and also the people she took care of while working at Hempstead County Memorial Hospital and Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Survivors include; her husband of 70 years, John R. Johnson, Sr. of Hope, son; John R. Johnson, Jr., wife, Karen of Hope, daughter; Connie Lavender of Hope, four grandchildren; Leland Lavender, Lilac Lavender Boskila, John R. Johnson, III and Eric Ray Johnson, 12 great-grandchildren, other family member and friends. Visitation; 6:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, April 6, 2015 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S.
