Mrs. Ruby M. Dorman Vines, age 99 of Bodcaw, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, December 14, 2013. Mrs. Vines was born August 12, 1914 in Oak Grove, Arkansas to Amos Green and Lola Purtle Dorman. She was a home maker and a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw. She enjoyed singing with her sisters and they became to be known as the Dorman Sisters, where she was the bass singer for the group. She provided a good home for her family and took great pride in the home appearance. In 1977 she lost the love of her life, her husband, Mr. Earl C. Vines. Others that have preceded her in death, her parents, five brothers; Earl, Olva, Curtis, Basil and A.G. Dorman and four sisters; Alta Mullins, Gladys Morehead, Leona Garner and Opal Barger. Her survivors include; son; Morris Vines, wife, Carolyn of Bodcaw, two daughters; Morine Butler of Bodcaw and Brenda Eggleston, husband, Eddie of Galax, Virginia, a brother; G. W. Dorman of Hope, two sisters; Lola Allen of Hope, Gertrude "Jude" Allen of Bodcaw, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation for Mrs. Vines will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, December 17, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral services for Mrs. Vines will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, December 18 at Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw, with Bro. Tim Vines and Bro. Lane Garner officiating.
