Mrs. Ruth Evans Hopson, age 81 of Prescott , Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Little Rock , Arkansas . Sis Ruth was born June 11, 1934 in Nevada County , Arkansas to Sarah Elizabeth Stamps and Lewis Toliver. Ruth Graduated from Blevins High School in 1955 and following graduation she married Elijah Evans in 1956. Then she later married Willie T. Hopson.

Ruth joined Green Hill Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Mt. Ephesus Church under the leadership of Rev. Fred Walters she served on the benevolence and out reach committee, Wednesday night Bible Study Scholar, member of Missionary Society, one of the mothers of the church and also traveled with the church. Ruth worked and retired from the Prescott School District after many years. She is preceded in death by her parents brother Lewis and Husband Willie T. Hopson.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters; Pearl L. Toliver of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Verna Toliver of Madison, Wisconsin and Mary Gilliam of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, five brothers; Earl Toliver of San Jose, California, Wayne Toliver and wife Judy of Prescott, Arkansas, Charles Toliver and wife Tiffany of Fulton, Arkansas, Jerry Toliver and wife Flo of Oak Harbor, Washington Vermon Toliver of New York and a host of nieces, nephews and church family.
