Mrs. Ruth Inez Patterson, age 91 of Alvarado, Texas, formerly of Emmet, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 in Burleson, Texas. She was born on September 6, 1922, in Emmet, Arkansas, to Marshall Hence and Pinna Mabel Oaks White. She was a resident of Hillcrest Nursing Home in Prescott, Arkansas, but wanted to be close to her family, so she moved to Alvarado, Texas, to live with her niece Dorinda Leonard and husband Barry. Mrs. Patterson retired from Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas, after many years of service. Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Doyle Dillard, her husband, Charles Patterson. Son, James Doyle Dillard, brothers, Frank White, James O. White and Clarence White, grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne Garner, twins, Ronnie and Sheryl Garner and a great-granddaughter, Madison Frick. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her daughter, Sue Cetcepada of Irving, Texas, granddaughters, Terri Frick and Ashley Dillard, great-grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Kenneth Frick and Chad Hall, sisters, Jo Gregory of Aledo, Texas and Ruby Jeritta Alexander of Sacramento, California, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm Wednesday, September 25, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mrs. Patterson will be 10:00am, Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
