Ruth Pruitt, age 82 of Daingerfield, Texas, went with the Lord on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview.

Ruth was born to Jacobus and Elizabeth Van den Broek on October 13, 1936. She was the tenth child of fourteen. She Is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Pruitt. They shared 41 years of marriage together. She is also preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandchild. She is survived by her children; daughter Deborah Richey (James Richey) of Prescott, AR, daughter Elizabeth Gammon of Daingerfield, TX, son Steven Pruitt of Hope, AR, and son Timothy Pruitt wife Rebecca Pruitt of Puyallup, WA, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several relatives.

She was a kindhearted, friendly, humorous, loving and very devoted to her family. She gave selfless acts of kindness to even a stranger on the street. Ruth also made the most beautiful homemade cards and mailed them to all of her relatives during the holidays and other special occasions.

There will be no public visitation.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2:00pm at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy 371 West in Prescott, AR with Bro. Jerry Westmoreland officiating.
