Mrs. Sandra Linn Dearth Surles, 71, of Washington, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Christus St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, Texas. She was born on February 15, 1938 in Desmoines, Iowa, to Michael and Eleanor Linn Clark Dearth. She was a Homemaker and a logging and cattle farmer. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was also a nature advocate; member of American Cancer Society; and supporter of the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband, Bennie Joe Surles and second husband, Harold West; and by her brother, Michael Dearth Her Survivors Include: One Son: Michael Roy Surles and Donna, Roggen, Colorado. Two Daughters: Cynthia D. Surles-Hall and Jack, Taylor, Texas and Jo Linn Owings and Jeff, Malvern, Arkansas. One Step-Daughter: Virginia West Thomas, Cabot, Arkansas. One Sister-In-Law: Carolyn West, Hope, Arkansas. Ten Grandchildren: Natasha Brown, Fort Morgan, Colorado; Shane Surles, Kingsburg, Colorado; Misty Linn Sanders, Bennett, Colorado; Ron and Paul Hall (twins) Midland and Round Rock, Texas; Steve Hall, Marble Falls, Texas; Amber Shaw, San Angelo, Texas; Bryan Hall, Lampassas, Texas; Amy Elizabeth Owings, Malvern, AR; Charles Joseph Owings, Malvern, AR; Twenty-Nine Great-Grandchildren and Three Great-Great-Grandchildren.
