Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Lee Moore Lemley, 90, of Williamsburg, Virginia, (Formerly of Emmet, Ark.) passed away on Dec. 15, 2007 in Virginia. She was born Aug. 5, 1916 in Prescott, Ark., the daughter of the late Charles Henry moore and Kathleen Brower Moore. In 1938, she earned a BA degree at the University of Ark. and, subsequently , taught in Emmet, Ark., until her marriage in 1940. As an Army wife, she was the perfect companion, accepting uncomplainingly her husband's assignments in both war and peace, following him whenever possible. Thereafter, they enjoyed travel and participation in a number of patriotic organizations. They particularly enjoyed fly fishing together. Throughout her adult life, she had an avid interest in needlework as student and teacher. She was active in The Colonial Dames of America, Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, The Huguenot Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Eighteen Twelve and others. Genealogical research was a major interest.
