Sheryl (Sherry) Annette Applegate, age 58, of Spring Hill, Arkansas passed away on August 25th, 2024 at her home. She was born September 22nd, 1965 in Texarkana, TX. Sherry graduated from Stamps High School. She enjoyed doing woodworking, her yardwork, and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She was a member of Rafter J Cowboy Church of Hope and a devoted Christian. Throughout her fight with cancer, she never lost her faith in God.

She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Knighton, and brother, Charlie Knighton.

She is survived by her husband, David Applegate, daughters Meghan Applegate and Heather Smith (Jonathan), granddaughters Cara Ward, Sydney Smith, and Madison Smith, mother Linda Knighton, grandmother Mary Jaynes, brothers Andy Knighton (Samantha) and Kelly Knighton (Rochelle), sister Shayne Knighton, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 29th 2024, from 6-8 PM at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, August 30th 2024, at 2 PM, at Rafter J Cowboy Church on Hwy 29 South, with burial to follow at Holly Springs Cemetery in Spring Hill.
