Mrs. Snooks Stauffer Tibbs, age 88 of Gurdon , Arkansas passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 in Arkadelphia , Arkansas . Snooks was born on August 12, 1928 in Gurdon , Arkansas to Jesse and Anna B. Dodgen Stauffer. She was a home maker and a member of First Baptist Church in Gurdon. Snooks was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years of marriage, Sonny Tibbs, a son; Richard Dale "Dick" Tibbs in 1974, her daughter; Vickie Lynn Anderson in 2013, two brothers; Richard and Ollie Stauffer, and a sister, Sarah Dickerson.

Survivors include a son; Trent Tibbs of Gurdon, a brother; Willard "Willie" Stauffer of Ft. Smith, AR, one sister; Alta "Tootsie" Dempsey of Gurdon, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm to service time of 2:30pm at First Baptist Church 209 E. Pine St in Gurdon.

Funeral service is 2:30pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Gurdon, with Bro. Mark Crawley and Bro. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Decipher Cemetery in Gurdon.
