Obituary

Mrs. Edith Sue Gray, age 78, passed away on Thursday December 14, 2023, in Texarkana, Texas. Sue was born on June 19, 1945, in Hope, Arkansas to Bob and Inez Taliaferro. She graduated from Hope High School and later attended SAU in Magnolia, Arkansas where she obtained a degree in Education.  Sue taught for many years at the Springhill School District.  In 1970, Sue pursued a career as an Accountant, that was inspired by her mother. Sue continued her career at Gray's Tax services, doing what she loved until her death. Sue was a member of Hope Methodist Church. Sue enjoyed spending time with her beloved Husband, her son, her grandchildren, family, clients, and friends. She never met a stranger, and her heart and home were open to all. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Bob Taliaferro, her mother, Inez Taliaferro, and her brother, Robert Taliaferro.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Billy Gray of Hope, Arkansas, her son and daughter-in-law, John and Crystal Gray of Nashville, Arkansas, and 3 grandchildren, Madison Gray, Hayden Gray and Asher Gray, all of Nashville, Arkansas.

Visitation will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Hope Methodist Church in Hope, Arkansas with services to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Methodist Church of Hope, Arkansas.
