Mrs. Sue O'Steen Stone, age 83 of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Stone was born in Hope on October 7, 1930 to John L. and Alberta Hartsfield O'Steen. She was retired secretary for the First Baptist Church in Hope, with over 14 years. She was very active in the church, serving on committees and would even bake cakes for wedding. After moving to Tyler she attended the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse, Texas, where she continued to be active. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Bernard O'Steen and her three sisters; Mrs. Naomi O'Steen Stewart, Mrs. Velma O'Steen Hanley and Mrs. Alvern O'Steen Reed. She is survived by three daughters; Dr. Mary Sue Stone Loshin and husband, Dr. David Loshin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Mrs. Wanda Ann Stone Lynch and husband, Mike of Tyler, Texas and Mrs. Charlotte Ann Stone Hinman and husband, Henry of Sarasota, Florida, her sister; Mrs. Marjorie O'Steen Henry of Nashville, Arkansas and eight grandchildren: Mr. Aaron Loshin, Mr. Ryan Loshin, Mr. & Mrs. Zane & Mandy Lynch, Mr. & Mrs. Matt & Claire Uzzell, Mr. Matthew Lynch, Miss Caroline Lynch, Mr. Henry Hinman, IV and Mr. Jack Hinman. Visitation, 2:00 to 4:00pm, Sunday, February 23 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service; 2:00pm, Monday, February 24 at First Baptist Church in Hope with Bro.
